Hunger Games can haz Director?

The Hunger Games Trilogy will be the next big book-to-film adaptation [hopefully if done right]. The final book in the series: Mockingjay has just been released, but those already done with it will have something new to look forward to. The rights to the books were bought by the studio Lionsgate and there's been a few names popping up about the potential directors that are meeting with Kittyfence. My top favorite is Rupert Sanders who recently directed live-action Halo 3: ODST commercials. His work so far has the capacity to accurately portray the gritty, vicious, post-apocalyptic world that is the Hunger Games.

Other names in the running include:
Gary Ross - Pleasantville, Seabiscuit
Sam Mendes - American Beauty, Jarhead
David Slade - Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night
Andrew Adamson - The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Shrek 1&2
Susanna White - Nanny McPhee Returns

An official director should be attached soon!
